Santino's Regime was Sonny Corleone's regime in the Corleone crime family. They were primarly used as enforcers for Don Corleone.

History[]

After the olive oil wars with Giuseppe Mariposa, and the decimation of the Irish gang, Sonny Corleone was promoted to caporegime, and later underboss, and was given control of his own regime. They mostly worked as hitmen and enforcers for Don Vito Corleone, and handled small time rackets.

During the Sollozzo Intrigue, Sonny stepped up as acting boss and mobilized his men together to prepare for a war with the other Families. After the murder of Virgil Sollozzo and Marc McCluskey, the corleone family went to war with the other families, and sonny held them under his thumb during this war.

Eventually, Sonny was killed at the jones beach causeway by Don Barzini's men. Don Corleone came out of retirement to put an end to the war, and disbanded sonny's regime. As a result, most of them were transferred to Peter Clemenza and Salvatore Tessio's Regimes. Years later in the 1970s, Sonny’s Manhattan territory was taken over by Joey Zasa’s Regime.
