The title of this article is a nickname.

McCluskey was a captain in the New York Police Department.

Of Irish heritage, McCluskey was one of the many of his bloodline to become police officers, eventually rising to the rank of captain. He commonly took his son Mark to the station with him, where the young boy would receive presents from other officers. This encouraged young Mark to become an officer himself.
