Hank Vogelsong was a corporal in the United States army during World War II.

Born in Connecticut, Hank Vogelsong enlisted in the Marines after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941. He participated in the landing on Peleliu and helped Michael Corleone and sergeant Hal Mitchell to save the wounded, but the three of them were heavily wounded in the process themselves.

Michael and Hal recovered from their injuries, but Hank died from his wound and his last will was that his watch was given to Michael Corleone.
