Gregor Reisdorfiev[src]

Gregor 'The Russian' Reisdorfiev was a racket boss in the Barzini family.

Biography[]

An immigrant from the tundras of Russia (hence his nickname), Gregor Reisdorfiev always had a passion for women's jewellery and set up trade as a legitimate jeweller. However money troubles forced him into joining the Barzini family for better profits. The family sent him to Brooklyn, where he forced his way into Liberto's, a bakery owned by Lofty the Loaf. Lofty gave into Reisdorfiev after pressure, allowing him to run a diamond operation from the bakery's basement.

In 1946, Reisdorfiev was eventually brought down by Aldo Trapani, who siezed his racket and exiled him back to Russia.
