Emilio Alioto was an influential member of the Alioto family, who ran a racket in New York.
Biography[]
Elder brother of Franklin Alioto, Emilio was a high ranking member of the West Coast Alioto clan, which had been trying to influence its way in New York. He ran a gambling racket in the Hotel Alioto, which was co-owned by their main ally in New York the Stracci family. Emilio became Don after the death of his father in the 1930s at the hands of Luca Brasi.
Emilio as Don[]
In 1945, Alioto was bought out by Aldo Trapani and began working for the Corleone family. Due to the relatively low influence of the Alioto family in New York, this business was not avenged. Later, when Trapani became Don of New York, Emilio and Franklin were present at the ceremony, which was held in the penthouse of the Hotel Alioto.
