This Sports Book was a small time operation under the Corleone Crime Family’s protection that was ran out of a candy store on the East Side of New York City. It was given to Don Vito Corleone’s son-in-law Carlo Rizzi in 1945, and rizzi reported to Button man Willie Cicci. Associates Sally Rags and Coach were also assigned to watch over the Book.
The Book was a really good business, though Carlo had been running it into the ground, and not making as much as the book used to make. In 1948, Sonny Corleone publicly attacked Carlo outside of the book after he beat his wife Connie.
During the Five Families War, many businesses owned by the Corleone family were forced to close down until further notice, including the sports book.
