"Are you one of Monk's friends? I never seen you before."
―Buddy Corcoran[src]

Buddy Corcoran was the owner of Corcoran's Perch in Midtown and an associate of the Corleone family. It is possible that he was the uncle of Bobby and Eileen Corcoran.

Biography[]

Known by law-enforcement as a respectable proprietor, Corcoran used his public image to hide dodgy dealings and meetings that went on in his bar, including the gambling ring run by Laydown Leighton that payed money to the Corleones.

In 1947, enforcer Angelo Granelli regularly visited Corcoran's Perch, and gave out a hit contract to Aldo Trapani here, following the fall of Virgil Sollozzo's warehouse. The hit sanctioned the death of Plinio Ottaviano. Corcoran was never questioned as an accomplice to this crime and continued to run business smoothly.

The only time he was suspected of any illegal dealings was when Trapani, fleeing from a successful raid on Moe Greene's secret casino in The Peak, took a getaway vehicle from here. Fortunately, Corcoran was never charged.
