- ―Benny Blazes[src]
Benny Blazes was a low level Tattaglia liquor racketeer.
Biography[]
Known for his pyromaniacal tendencies, Blazes worked for Mickey Mancini. Blazes was more commonly known to be drinking his illegal supply rather than distributing it. He set up his base of operations in The Full Moon in Brooklyn, but it's legitimate owner, Kian Jameson, was known to have no real loyalty to Benny or his family, especially after Blazes' associates began to let off fireworks at the back of the club.
In 1946, shortly after the Tattaglias lost Little Italy to the Corleone family, Bennie was bought out by Aldo Trapani. Despite his loyalty to the Tattaglias Benny could be bought out, following the years after Aldo's takeover, Benny sunk deeper into his alcoholism, with his wife divorcing him and forcing him out of their small apartment. Benny began sleeping next to his stalls at night and was in an almost constant state of drunkenness until he would eventually drank himself to death.
Behind the scenes[]
