Bendino was the Mayor of Bagheria and a friend of Michael Corleone.

Known as 'Don Bendino', he had the support and respect of Michael Corleone. In fact, when Michael arrived in Bagheria in 1980, Bendino met him with a large procession of townspeople, due to Michael's charitable works for the betterment of Sicily.
